Kime submitted comments on the proposed permanent heat rules, which would replace emergency rules scheduled to expire September 29, 2022. “The construction season has a finite window specifically for our paving contractor employers,” she said. “We would like the department to acknowledge that there are different industries with unique circumstances and situations and the proposed rule does not recognize this." National Suicide Prevention Month:
New resources unveiled

Suicide is a leading cause
of death among working-age adults in the United States.
It deeply impacts
workers, families, and communities.
Mental health and suicide can be difficult to talk about—especially with work colleagues—but your actions can make a difference. When you work closely with others, you may sense when something is wrong.

Take a look at AGCW's updated Mental Health and Suicide-Prevention Resources webpage for the newest mental-health and suicide-prevention resources for our industry, including the nationwide Suicide and Crisis Lifeline number, 800.273.8255.
You can also text HELP to 741-741. And now, nationwide, the new 988 Crisis Line is available -- just like dialing 911. It remains free, confidential and available 24/7.
